Idyllically situated at Freshwater on the Percuil River in the Fal estuary in Cornwall, at J.P. Leach Yacht and Boat Builders we offer a full range of boatyard services, from new builds to repairs, restorations, and maintenance. With more than a quarter of a century's tradition of dedication to quality craftmanship, we can offer meticulous attention to detail at surprisingly competitive prices.

Our wooden builds range from our first clinker built dinghy to a bespoke 23' Italian Riva-style speedboat, and include the latest 13 St. Mawes One Designs . In GRP we specialise in the popular Bass boat 540 of which we have built and customised 7 to order in the last two years. Other projects have included 5 ocean rowing boats to compete in the Atlantic Ocean Challenge races. Recent restorations include "Aileen", St. Mawes One Design no. 1, and "Smuggler", a 19' motor launch dating from 1912, probably the first ever motor boat in the estuary (originally named "Lorna Doone").
